Being honest, how long did it take you to get over your ex...?

I went out with this guy for two years. It took 1 and a half year to REALLY get over him. And it wasn't until I met another guy that I was completely over him.

But of course, it wasn't 1.5 years of heart break. I was heart broken, like really hard for about three weeks and then it started to heal. I'd forget about him and everytime I saw him again, I'd feel my heart sore (if you know what I mean). It lasted usually a day or two after I saw him and then I'd go back to my normal life.

I met this guy a few months ago, I really liked him (we didn't go out or anything though) but just meeting someone so perefect made me realize how stupid I was to still be thinking about my ex. He was really my cure :).

Ideally, if you can really block him our of your life, it'd be much better and healthier for you. Try to stop all contact. And remember there are lots of fish in the sea. Everyone told me that, and I know it's hard to accept (you think the's the ONE and ONLY) but believe me it's not true. You will find the right one and when you do, you'll realize how stupid you were to be so into him.

I was in relation for 3 years. Then found out she was cheating on me. I took nearly 3-4 months to get over her. My best friend who later became my GF helped me a lot in this situation.

About 3 months. Try another relationship it helps.

to answer your question it was about 3-4 months later but it would've been longer if it wasn't for falling for someone else

i've being in 4,5 year relationship, it took me a week to get over. i'm single for about 13 month now and very very happy to be single

jus try nt to think of the person. everytym the person comez across ya mind do sumn to distract yourself.. try to get out more meetin new pepz who r on da same level yu r on. if yu keep sittin there thinkn bout da person you'll b even more crazy...

it's been 4 months for me..don't worry you just have to fool yourself in falling in love with another guy and before you know it you're really in love with him. But I think it depends on the person :)
