IF there actually was blood from Jesus in the Shroud of Turin?

and they were able to clone him and he COULDN'T walk on water, change water into wine, etc.,

would you Theists finally give up your silly notions and realize that he was JUST A MAN?!

Or would you blame his shortcomings on the scientists that cloned him?

Update:

Calm down, folks! I never said I believe the shroud is legit.

I also know that a cloning from it would never be successful.

(I am not delusional!)

The question was sparked by another Q I read earlier

    1. Good luck cloning a human from blood. Or at all for that matter.

    2. Genetic Clones are not the same as the originals. DNA ages over time, so clones are all messed up. Ever hear of Dolly the sheep?

    3. Let's say for the sake of discussion that Jesus was a divine creation. He was not created in the regular manner, so it's very likely that you would not be able to replicate it. But then again, maybe you could.

    4. I'm sure they'd explain it away by saying "well god does not favor the abomination"

pupils admit that the image on the shroud is traditionally precise as far because of the fact the hair and beard, besides because of the fact the injuries suffered by potential of a crucifixion sufferer. There are some issues, like the proportions of the top are off, the physique is elongated, and the blood types on the lower back would not be precise for a guy or woman who develop into already ineffective. The accuracies, however, should not be taken as indicators of authenticity. thirteenth century pupils had a rather good thought of what they had to portray. -the fabric develop into carbon-dated, yet some pupils have observed that the element of fabric that develop into examined is roofed with a microscopic layer of micro organism shaped by potential of centuries of dealing with. To get an precise date, they might desire to tug a pattern from the middle, which might disfigure the relic. The jury is out on the blood, because of the fact the composition of blood and the composition of thirteenth century pink paint are the two consist predominantly of iron. one extra element - a 9th century photograph of the shroud, comprehensive with triple burn marks, has became up in Bulgaria, casting some doubt on the thought that it develop into created interior the thirteenth century.

That would be tough, DNA only exists in white cells and their nucleus would be highly compromised by now. The same problem with the dino's created in Jurassic Park, no DNA in reptile blood either.

The possibility of cloning and bringing back extinct species using surrogates impregnated with viable DNA sources fascinates me.

Possible candidates include Woolly Mammoth and others gone extinct during the last ice age.

Carrier Pigeons, Tasmanian Wolf, Dodo or just about any old museum specimen could be brought back from extinction..

    Naw...

I see that going more like: Jesus was CREATED by God, your clone Jesus 2.0 was made in a test tube by man, of course it's not as good as God's son.

Even if God himself ascended from the heavens in some miraculous way & told people something different than they currently believe, you would have hold outs to the old ways...

And no, I'm not a christian, just saying though.

A clone wouldn't necessarily have the Spirit that the original body had so I wouldn't say oh Jesus was a mere man nor would I blame scientists.

Read the updated articles after th 1998 carbon test, as the new test findings is that the cloth is about 2000 yrs. The 1998 test is based on the patched/memded cloth due to fire.

The shroud is the most and thoroughly investigated relics of Jesus Time and until now, scientist and archeologists of impeccable credentials could not explain.

they should try just to see what the theists would try and use as a excuse when he was cloned and was a regular person im sure they would find some way to deny it though they always do.

  • The Shroud of Turin is fake so your question is pointless.

    Nice try.
