Why isn't the media making fun of Biden for saying Mubarek is not a dictator?
Let's face it if Palin would have said something like that, it would have become a bigger story than Egypt's riots.

If the government and the media weren't fascists supporting Mubarak
the story for the past decade would have been the lack of democracy
and need for regime change in Egypt.

Because Biden doesn't scavenge for attention in the media, not many care what he says. Where as Palin is planning to rejoin politics in the coming years, she throws herself in front of the media at every turn thus garnering more attention and interest. The media only prints what they think people want to hear, and at the moment way more people are interested in what Palin says, for better or worse.

He said he would not call him a dictator. That doesn't mean he is doesn't believe he is, it just means that he won't call him one. That is how an intelligent diplomat would approach the situation. Mubarak is an ally of the United States. That means he would be making an enemy by saying he was a dictator. Only an idiot would criticize him for not calling him a dictator. That means you.

After all the "guffaws" Biden has been involved with, I don't think to many people take him all that seriously...but Mubarak has been a major US ally in that part of the world..
