08 Honda civic: after installation of new after market radio Trip meter reset doesn't work?

Hello everyone .

After I had my aftermarket radio installed now the trip meter reset doesn't work or the instrument dim light adjuster , it pushes in , but it ignores me , I'm going to take it back to the place that did it so they can fix it , but in order to avoid a painful confrontation with the shop (because save that they did a good job with everything else) is there anything in that area that would cause such behavior ?

If not I will take it back to the dealer , but I would hate for them to show me that they did it , and now there comes the law suit to get my money back .

I mean it is just too much coincidence , the buttons worked before and now they don't

Please help

Thank you.

Rob.

you may desire to have reset it the incorrect way. do no longer disconnect the battery to reset it. while the battery dies or gets disconnected, the radio code should be entered in. a similar is going for many automobiles like VW and Audi. circulate to the Honda broker and ask them for the radio code. if to procure the automobile from this broker, they might desire to furnish you the code for loose. If no longer, it is going to value $50 to get the radio code. save the radio code incase you may desire to go into it lower back. To reset the oil easy, you push the reset button by utilizing the odometer and speedometer. Push and carry down at the same time as the automobile is off. next, turn the main into the ON place, which activates the electrical energy, yet no longer the engine. nonetheless conserving the button down, seem on the maintenance easy. it would turn off after 10 seconds. After it turns off, you may permit circulate of the reset button. solid success.

Ya sounds like they spliced the wires instead of using the industry standard wiring kit or they failed to hook something back up. Lets take it back to them, tell them the problem, have them check there work, and hope they failed to hook something back up because if they spliced into the wiring harness it's a costly fix.
