Athiests, if God doesn't exist, why do you have to deny his existance?

Atheists deny God exists so we can stop wasting energy on something that's only in our heads and get on with the business of finding out what the universe is really all about.

Well... as you may have read... your logic is obviously flawed. But i will answer the actual question a hand. We deny god because belief in said god DOES ACTUAL HARM, people justify horrific acts of intolerance, bias and cruelty in general. Im not saying that the belief in god has been a bad thing as a whole, but it has done alot of evil... however ironic that may be. It definitely put about a 500 year speedbump in the scientific evolution. Advanced we would be today had religion not persecuted many great early scientists? God knows lol

No, by denying god's existence we admit that the concept of god exists, and we admit that other people believe god exists. Just because I deny Harry Potter exists doesn't mean I admit Harry Potter exists (feel free to substitute your favorite fictional character if you don't like Harry Potter).

Because I don't believe in a perfect existence (apparently "god" is perfect). Also, your logic makes no sense at all. Besides, if there was a god, why the hell would he give a **** about mere mortals believing in him? Does God need validation from mortals?

Most athiests are content. Unfortunately, many athiests spend their lives trying to convince others that God doesn't exist because they are insecure or angry about their own lack of faith. Its a sad and confused way to walk through life.

and they deny he exists because, while everyone has freedom to their own religion, when people start making dis-advances in our future by not accepting things that have been proven because it disagrees with the bible, it ends up hurting everyone.
