i want to convert a 40k nurgle army, ideas please!?
this is for the new 'armies on parade' competition. i'm using river trolls with chaos giant heads for great unclean ones and am considering ghouls or plague monks as starting points for plague bearers. what's giving me the most hassle is plaguebearer heads and nurglings so any ideas greatfully received, cheers

I can make some suggestions, but I'd recommend seeking ideas at www.warhammer.org.uk
That's a decent forum of players and collectors where you can ask for advice and look through the old posts at things others have done before.
So first up, how many Great Unclean Ones will you need? I've NEVER seen anyone able to field more than one at a time.
I like the idea of using Ghouls, as they're great models and would work well with Nurgle.
For Nurglings, I'd suggest rats? Not Skaven, but the giant rats you get with Skaven. A few of them as a swarm could easily double for Nurglings.
As for the rest, you're best bet will be to makie good friends with Green Stuff. Have a go at sculpting some conversion work, even if its only hunches, or deformed heads, or just smoothing the joins between parts.
