Buzzing in the ears after a concert and headbanging - how do I stop it? :P?

Normally the next morning it's gone, but this time its just as bad as it was before!

I'm actually really worried + I can't hear very well!

Lectures start tomorrow and if its not gone by then.... I won't hear a thing!

Anyone know how to make it go away? Other than just waiting?

Update:

yes yes I know, headbanging is bad and all.

but that is not what i asked you, i already know that

Update 2:

stop? nah, never

i might get ear plugs, but stopping?

Why would I? I had more fun last night than I had had in months!

What your describing sounds like tinnitus. I have benign tinnitus and it flares up when I'm stressed or go to a gig. Usually it goes after. You may be coming down with an ear infection as tinnitus often goes hand in hand with an ear infection. As hard as it is try and ignore it..concentrate on something else. If it hasn't gone by this evening and you need to sleep my advice is to plug some headphones into a radio tuned into an in between station, perhaps MW so you can hear the whoosh, this helps block the tinnitus ringing out. There's no known cure for tinnitus.

Visit your doc asap. Don't mean to worry you but did you know that headbanging can actually cause swelling on the brain so would advise not to do this again.

Stop going to such loud concerts and stop headbanging; both will damage not only your hearing but also your brain. Stop going!!!!!!

not good. You've damaged your hearing, hopefully it will recover.

if you don't want to end up as deaf as Pete Townsend, it is time to stop doing this.
