Have you ever told your friends to stop acting like they're your parents?

I'm pissed off at my best friend right now because she's kill joy especially about my drinking alcohol. I know she's just concern about me, but her telling me about this over & over again is annoying. She even hits me when I talk about that stuff. Sometimes I wanna tell her to quit acting like she's my parent, but I think that might hurt her. My parents don't mind if I get drunk, though.

Yes. My best friend can be totally like that. Sometimes he tries to impose his own "punishment" on me like trying to make me sit out a round of a videogame for slagging someone off or something. I tell him he doesn't have the authority. It pisses me off. He keeps saying he's trying to help me but even that's annoying cause he's putting himself above me, like he has something I don't. Cmon, we both have flaws.

  • If you know that she's acting out of concern, why are you telling her to stop? Do you not want your friend to be concerned for you? Seems to me, that's what a friend does. And it also seems to me that if she's your friend and she's expressing a concern, maybe it's time to LISTEN, and decide if she's right. Whether your parents care or not, getting drunk on anything approaching a regular basis is a BAD idea, and a good way to destroy your liver. If you can't be honest with yourself, then what good are you?

yeah. But not about alcohol. I don't drink anymore, I'm kind of annoyed with alcohol now.

My bestfriend always wants to "fix" my relationship with my exboyfriend. We still talk but I'm been distancing myself from him. However, I still feel like I love him and feel the pain of missing him and wanting to hold him. I just wish she would put her arms around me and comfort me instead of tell me what I need to do with my life.

Either, she's a great friend just for the simple fact that she cares. I just feel alone sometimes when I want to be free and let my tears out on someone's shoulder.

I'm called the "mommy of the group" for a reason.

Listen, sweetie. If your parents are stupid enough to let you drink underage, maybe you need your friends there to give you a swift kick in the *** sometimes. You'll appreciate it eventually.

No i haven't. Just let her be she is just looking out for you. Although you can tell her she doesn't have to get physical about it. It's your life choices. Although your age might contribute to if drinking is okay. At a young age your liver has to work harder to filter the booze.

she is concerned, and alcohol is bad for you! so stop drinking it! and why don't your real parent's care that if you are drinking alcohol, you might die from liver failure!
