Ever watch how quickly a 5 year old moves?

Believers know where they are going when they die. Whether today or in fifty years it matters not. There is no urgency to "prove" God or the love of Christ. Atheists however (I find) are usually very aggressive and hostile in their criticisms of Christianity (much of this is deserved I admit when criticizing the religion as opposed to the Master) but I think this is explained by the uncomfortable fact that most honest ones do not have any explanation of where they came from or where they are going and are a tad nervous that we believers may actually be right. This R&S is a place to preach the gospel folks.

I have the same experience. However, rarely do the atheists supply anything other than knee-jerk reaction. This suggests that they are watching the newest questions that emerge and firing off one-liners.

In contrast, my Christian friends tend to retrieve questions from their contacts, and to take considerable time and effort to respond with reasons and evidence. Thus, answers that show up in the first few minutes are rarely even responsive to the question, but answers that show up in the next 24 hours or so are often gems.

    Cheers,

    Bruce

The Word of God teaches us to be quick to listen but slow to answer....it also teaches us to stay away from obviously baited questions...

We have to make sure of a couple of things....

    1. Is your question for real or is it fish bait?

    2. We have to make sure we understand what you are asking

    3. Sometimes we do have to look up an answer to make sure we get it worded right and not mislead you in any way....

Atheists have no worries about any of the above...and can slap shoot the ball...

Me, it's because I don't take things half as seriously as religious people, so it doesn't matter as much. Fanatics are people who are too serious about life. That's their prime problem, so it logically follows.

Also, I used to work as, essentially, a news typist for slightly more than 10 years. So my fingers are pretty damn quick on a keyboard.

Whatever they say about me, nobody will ever say I've never earned an honest day's wage in my life.

I believe they are all ready on line here to learn something from the believers, and meanwhile putting up nasty comments.

Until forty years or so ago there was no problem between Christians and atheists!

All the other religions and atheists live in peace and are only attacked by christians and self defense is legitimate!

It takes in reality only one to make a quarrel. It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favour of vegetarianism, while the wolf remains of a different opinion. - William Ralph Inge.

Do you not recognise that Christians are provoking retaliation and repudiation for their terrible attitudes?!

Perhaps if Christians stopped their intolerant, egotistical, hate filled and bigoted postings things might change!

Perhaps if Christians stopped eschewing education, science, evolution works of fiction and much, much more things might change!

Perhaps if Christians stopped being the only religion opposing human rights and persecuting gays, pro choice and so much more things might change!

Perhaps if Christians stopped demanding freedom of religion whilst they deny it to all non Christians and persecute them things might change!

If Christians rediscovered the god of love and forgiveness and put aside all those terrible human emotions things would definitely change!

Why are Christians so afraid of people who simply do not believe in any god?!!!! Surely it can only be because they are so afraid that atheist are right and they are wrong or it would not bother them!

Time for Christians to understand that it is not about god, jesus or belief but about the terrible Christians attitudes and behaviour!

As soon as they rediscover the loving god Christianity used to have and start acting like it the problem will cease!

Religious people actually give well thought out responses.

They have no good to do with their life, so they try to corrupt this place.
