I would feel much more secure that my cars and home are paid for. I would have a place to live and vehicles to get us to work. I could give more to my church, save more for my children's college education, and maybe even take a little vacation.
The money I make on the side through my home based business is going towards debt right now. We are hoping to be debt free by 2018. But that is only IF our cars quit breaking and sucking us dry! :)
How about you? I read Dave Ramsey's book and it inspired me to really get out of debt now. But it sure does take awhile once you make that commitment.

Not counting the national debt (which is reasonable for my income), I am completely debt free. More than that, I have deposits.
How does it feel like? I need more money :). I want to buy this, want to buy that, and I always wait for my income. Once I have enough to ensure my financial security for a little while, I make large purchases.
I never applied to any credit, so I don't know how it would feel being in debt. Although I imagine it to be horrible, that's why I don't borrow (except small amounts from friends, for very short periods).
My parents taught me this way. It's good to have deposits, and bad to have debt.

After being stressed out from constant debt issues, it would be a great feeling to be debt-free. I would do anything to be out of debt. That’s why I enrolled with debtburst. And their debt advice has been very valuable. They suggested a customized debt management program for me, and I am very comfortable with the program. I’m sure I will soon be debt-free!

It means that I'm responsible enough with my money not to need to borrow from somebody else :)
