Diaper exploded? Anyone have this happen before?
My son wears the pampers overnight diapers and so far all has been good. This morning though, it was like the diaper broke/exploded on him. All the absorbing crystals (for lack of a better word? they were really more like wet gel this morning) were all over his tummy this morning. (I had to put him in the bath tub and wash him this morning, they didn't wipe off, more like smear and I wanted to get it all.)
He was in a sleeper so they did not go anywhere and I know he could not have touched or eaten any, but how safe is that on his skin? The diaper was still on this morning, it was just like the insides leaked out and up all over his tummy, sides and back. It kinda concerns me since I am not sure it can hurt him. We have been using these diapers a while and this is a first. Has it happened to anyone else? It is toxic? Should I contact the company? Thanks for your time!

the white beads are the crystals that absorb the urine. They are like sand at first but swell the more they absorb. You'll notice it if a kiddy goes in the sea or paddling pool with a nappy on. Its normal and if it wasn't safe it wouldn't be in the nappy. It just means he had a very wet night and his nappy could no longer absorb anything else.

That happens all the time, most often when the diaper gets over full - try one size larger since he is using all the gels at night. Just wipe it off.

When a diaper will get too rainy or saturated they do have a tendency to become worse. Your son on the whole did precisely what you believe he did went to the toilet such a lot and it could not maintain anymore. I could difference him as soon as a night time to ensure it does not occur once more or restrict his fluid consumption after a unique factor within the night time. EDIT: Yes it has occurred to my son whilst he overslept and I proposal it could be alright to go away him till he aroused from sleep.

I've heard of this happening with all the brands. Simply because the nappy gets too full.
