if my deployment is longer than a year, do I get extra money?

If someone could provide a reference to an Army reg, that would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to figure out the likelyhood of whether the government will foot the bill for my platoon to be in afghanistan for more than 12 months worth of combat pay and entitlements.

Most of the time, they will try their hardest to keep deployments at or under 12 months, but sometimes an extension is inevitable. If they do choose to extend your tour in Afghanistan, you will continue to receive your usual deployment pay, but you will not receive any extra pay for the added length of duty there.
