Does pokemon platinum work on wifi with diamond and pearl?
i had pokemon pearl but i lost it, and i am thinking about buying platinum, my brother has diamond. would i be able to battle and trade with him even though i have platinum and not a diamond or pearl game?

Yes, all the Pokemon 4th Gen gamees can battle and trade with each other, including WiFi. The 4th Gen games are Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver they can all communicate with each other (ex. SoulSilver and Diamond, HeartGold and Pearl, Platinum, and Diamond, Platinum and HeartGold, etc.).

It does work. I would transfer the pokemon onto Soul silver or Heart gold because the types of battles are labeled better than on Platinum.

Yes, but at this point go with Soul Silver or Heart Gold or you could just wait acouple months for the Black and White versions to come out ( gunna be awsome )
