I have a question about Mayhem Fest 2011...?
Ok, so Mayhem festival was just announced today and the Line up is...
Main Stage
Disturbed
Godsmack
Megadeth
Mahine Head
Trivium
In Flames
They annoucned that Machine Head/Trivium/In Flames are all gonna be rotating slots on the main stage. Can anyone tell me what that means? Does that mean all bands will play on the main stage but the line up will be different in every city or does that mean one band will be on the mainstage and the other two will be on side stages? Someone help...

Each band will be rotating between headlining spots on the 2 second stages and the bottom spot on the main stage. So if In Flames is on the mainstage on Monday, they would play Jager on Tuesday (speculation) and Extreme on Wednesday. If Machine Head was playing Jager on that Monday, they would play Extreme on Tuesday and mainstage stage on Wednesday. This is an EXAMPLE, and isn't necessarily how this will work.
Hope that makes sense. The line-up will rotate every night, so you won't necessarily know which band will be playing the mainstage until that day.

Basically it means that they will be in a different order in each gig. They'll be mainstage bands. But say, first night, it will be In Flames opening, then Trivium, then Machine Head. Next concert Trivium could be top etc.
Btw not every band is playing every gig. (Megadeth and In Flames) will be missing some dates to play Sonisphere Festival UK.
