During the Korean war, did any UN forces cross the Yalu river into China?

A while back I was told by a teacher that MacArthur provoked the Chinese entry into the Korean war by crossing north over the Yalu river and invading China, but I've looked high and low for information on this but all I can see is info on Chinese forces crossing the Yalu river south before UN forces even got close.

Did any UN forces (US, ROK, British, whatever) actually cross north over the Yalu river or was my teacher an idiot?

UN ground forces DID NOT cross the Yalu River onto Chinese territory. MacArthur provoked the Chinese by advocating the use of nuclear weapons against them if they intervened in the Korean War. He was warned by Truman to shut up, but didn't, so he got fired.

However, while no ground forces crossed the Yalu River there were several instances where aircraft penetrated Chinese Airspace. These were mostly accidents that happened while aircraft were maneuvering close to the boarder in dog fights and lost track of exactly where they were. An MIA who was shot down during the war and his aircraft crossed the boarder on its way down and was recently identified when his dog-tag showed up in a local museum. Remains identified by DNA were recovered from the crash site. That aircraft defiantly landed on Chinese territory.

There are also rumors that commandos raided Chinese territory during the war. However, these incursions were clandestine and not designed to provoke the Chinese. They would have been to gather intelligence on troop movements and such.

No Truman WARNED MacArthur not to enter China but he did push the North Korean Forces overboard closer to China and that's why brought China into War.
