Does anyone have any direct experience with TCL TVs?

I'm planning to get a 32" LCD tv soon. I thought after a lot of research & review reading, I'd narrowed the choices to LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, Vizio or Phillips. I ignored other brands I considered over priced or lower quality. Today a TCL tv caught my eye & I checked the specs, etc which sounded good, especially the 2 year warranty. Since I've never paid much attention to that brand I'd like to know if anybody can tell me of their experience with it.

TCL Corporation is a Chinese company that is rapidly expanding into new market areas. These sets are available in Asia, North and South America, South Africa, Russia and Australia, and as Alcatel in Europe. They have yet to develop a track record in several of these countries because they are a relatively new name brand. If the products produced by Chinese owned and operated companies are any example I would stay away from this brand for the time being. Most of these "brand X" TVs from China are made for a particular "price point" with no great emphasis on quality.

I just bought a TCL 55 FS 3750 55" TV. I love it! I even use it for playing baseball on PS4. Don't run because it is made in China. I bought a cheap TV from Walmart many years ago on a Black Friday sale. It cost me 113.00 back then. I have never had a problem with that set...nothing at all but reliability. I'm expecting the same from this set.

I have had Direct TV for over 5 years. The only time I have had a problem they help me to fix it. The only time that we lose signal is when the rain is very heavy. Also the only time that I I did not get good service for a defective problem the cam pretty quick to fix it if they did not then it was a problem that was with me meeting the repairman.

Consumer Reports will have a big research article in the upcoming March issue.

Don't overlook Samsung. They recommend staying away from knockoff brands.

Nope, I had never even heard of them until I was browsing 32" tvs on Amazon earlier, and saw this one. http://www.amazon.com/L32HDF11TA-32-Inch-2-Year-Wa...

One review says the TCL panels are actually made by Samsung, and they are owned by the same company that makes RCA. Since I've only had great experiences w/RCA tvs, I find that encouraging. I would need to see a TCL in person though, in order to make a decision. If it looks good, go for it.
