Illinois Sales Tax Refund Possible?

We have an LLC with IL resale certificate but sometimes we purchase from regular stores in the mall or at discount outlets we can resell them online. We are paying sales tax for those purchases but suppose to be we are exempt. In that situation, can we claim a refund from IL Department of Revenue?

No, your refund would have to come from the stores. You would have to give them the resale certificate and fill out whatever paperwork they require and then try to talk them into giving you a refund. You cannot get it from the state as you did not pay it to the state. If the stores give you a refund they can claim it from the state.
