allow me to start by saying that i am NOT a little teeny-bopper who thinks edward and jacob are totally dreamy and who only likes twilight because everyone at my school likes it. or because i'm a middle aged soccer mom who yearns to live vicariously through bella and experience her love for a being who actually celebrates the anniversaries of his 17th birthday. i am a level-headed, albeit romantic, almost 27 year old woman. though it may NOT be a very original storyline, i, myself had never encountered such a story, and thus i do find it original and refreshing.

    here goes:

the acting is somewhat abysmal...i don't know what makes kristen stewart this sought after gem of young hollywood! i'll take dakota fanning, pound for pound any day! alexis bledel (gilmore girls) would have knocked bella out of the park! and i don't care if robert pattinson DID read the entire draft of the "edward's pov" draft of the novel, he STILL doesn't get edward! or he has a seriously misguided view of him! i guess they fit together as a couple on AND off screen, because they both look equally constipated in their roles! it's pretty sad when the oh-so-green former shark boy taylor lautner outshines the aforementioned dullards! it may not be great acting, but at least he doesn't take himself too seriously! he seems to just have fun up there!

and now, for the story aspect!

they are, for the most part, NOTHING like books, which i truly enjoyed! the first film left so much integral storyline out that the whole bella-edward relationships makes no sense! they can't be around each other, but suddenly they're in love! really? the second film is actually in my opinion an improvement on both the first film and the second book, leaving out tons of awkward scenarios and little bits that made little sense. the third film, which is based on my favorite of the books, leaves a bit to be desired, for my part, though i think it is the best film thus far. it is probably the closest to the novel, but there was still so much i would have liked to have seen from the book! i truly hope the fourth will follow the pattern of improvement. i'd love to answer more specific questions, if you have them! hope i could help!

    A waste of money.

It's sad that people toss about the label "actor" to anyone who gets a job in film. It's also sad that such weak films get any recognition at all and the ones that are well made and have real actors are not given much attention.
