Bank of America--if I come short, will the bank pay my check?
I have $880 in my account right now. Rent is due today in the amount of $950. I will get another paycheck Monday that will cover the difference. However I cant be positive that I can get to the bank in time on Monday to deposit it. If the landlord should send the check through on Monday, will BOA pay the check or will they send it back? I am willing chance paying a $35 overdraft fee to save face with my landlord...

It will most likely go through even if there's NSF. Banks do that stuff for precisely the reason you mention - to collect those $35+ overdraft fees.

Can't you just ask your landlord if you can be a few days late this month? (But some landlords will charge a late fee as well, but not as much a bank though).

It depends on your banking relationship with Bank of America. Most likely, the check will go through, even if you don't have sufficient funds (as the difference is less than $100 and the bank will collect the $35 NSF fee. If you also have a good term with your landlord, you can ask your landlord to deposit the check on Tuesday, after you deposited your pay check. This way, your account will have sufficient funds to cover the rent check, even if you deposit the check on Tuesday.
PS. You can deposit your check via ATM as most Bank of America ATM in California would give you same day credit if you deposit the check by 8:00 pm.
