Opinions on this tattoo idea?

So I recently turned sixteen and my Mum said if she agrees with a tattoo that I want and I can afford it she'll sign the paperwork etc to say I have permission to get it.

I've already decided on the position of the tattoo, I'd love one slightly curved under my left breast like on my rib cage. I understand this will be quite painful as I barely have any fat there at all and the skin is pretty thin but I am willing to deal with the pain.

I've been looking at quotes that I like but none have really urged me to get it inked onto my skin permanently until now.

The quote I saw tonight is 'do whatever you want in life. if it's something you'll regret in the morning, sleep late'.

I was thinking about asking for this in a pretty cursive font in a very small size that goes over two lines like so:

do what you want in life.

if it's something you'll regret in the morning, sleep late.

I only want two lines and I understand that may be too long for it to look balanced so I was also considering:

do what you want in life.

if you will regret it in the morning, sleep late.

Do you think this would be a decent quote? Also which do you prefer?

I am only considering this at the moment, I can change my mind but the position is definate.

Thank you!

Update:

Thanks for everyone's opinions! It is only a idea just now, nothing set in stone and I might play around with the words a little bit anyway :)

Also I did not 'go looking' for this quote, I read it on a website I happened to be on and loved it. I can totally relate to it too since I do sleep late the majority of the time!

I like the idea of getting it in small cursive letters with only two lines. It's probably going to hurt, so try bringing something to squeeze while you're getting it done.

It sounds like a quote you'll regret in a few years. Maybe try a more sophisticated, positive quote. Or don't do a quote at all, just a picture.

Also remember, if you get the tattoo where you say you want it: if you gain or lose weight, it may look funny. I would talk to the tattoo artist about that.

The Tattooing of Minors Act 1969 makes it illegal to tattoo anyone under 18, with no exceptions.

It doesn't matter if you have parents permission or not.

The artist can be prosecuted for assaulting a minor.

I actually love that quote (i've just put it on my facebook status after reading it haha)

I think its best written the second way and as long as you get the right font and a good tattooist it will look amazing!! <3

i think you should wait till your older and really think it through. im only 14, but every adult & person i know says they regret getting their tattoo. i dont think you should get it.. i like the quote though

I don't think you should look for quotes to etch on your skin.

The right quote will come to you.

maybe something simple like the word love in a heart with a color explosion or I love you or something.

i wish you would find something more empowering and positive, not about ways to postpone regret

    I think that's a terrible idea.
