How much are alcoholic drinks in France, and where can they be purchased?

Things like beer, liquor, wine.

Is there a special store for them, or can they be bought at grocery stores?

You can buy beer wine and spirits in supermarkets and small neighborhood grocery stores. Monoprix food section too.

Some of the beers are excellent, but you might not find the cheap stuff like bud lite,

Wine prices are like here- good ones are expensive. on the other hand you will find bargains in table wines.

You can buy them at most Grocery Stores, 24 hr stores etc. The prices can vary greatly, wine from 3 euro a bottle plus. I found beer and vodka again could vary tons, you can buy it cheap but the quality isn't great. Also if you venture a tiny bit out of the main city and into some of the suburbs prices drop massively.
