Which last name for the family in my story?

In the story I'm currently working on, I'm torn between two last names for the main family: Sommerset & Bradshaw. The family's from Mississippi, if it makes it difference in your choice.

    Whenever I think of Bradshaw I think of Carrie Bradshaw, so Sommerset.

    Sommerset is a great choice too, but I see that as more of a New Englander surname.

    in my opinion "Sommerset" is kinda long for a last name. so i would go with Bradshaw.
