Would you defend a President that has been held in contempt of court?

and has also had a law declared unconstitutional? Do you think the Executive and Legislative branch has the power to defy the Judicial branch? Or do you even care? As long as it's your guys, it doesn't matter. Before you answer this or that was illegal, cite the case that was ruled illegal by the court as I have.

NO but the Democrats have a history of doing this.

Bill Clinton perjured himself, obviously a violation of the oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Now 0bama has 2 Judicial Rulings .(OIL and Health care)against him and yet he Rams on. He is suppose to respect the law even though he doesn't agree with the ruling

The President (i.e., President Obama) was NOT held in contempt of court as you suggest. The Department of the Interior has a moratorium in place on NEW off-shore oil-drilling in the area where the BP spill might have damaged the ecological balances (that's drilling that has not yet begun), and this Judge Feldman, who was found earlier to have taken money from the oil industry (a conflict of interest) is having his decision appealed even as we speak. The Department of Interior has been declared by Feldman to be in "contempt of court" but this same judge has NOT issued a similar ruling against a prior moratorium because of a jurisdictional matter.

The moratorium issued is TO PROTECT AMERICANS AND AMERICA, whereas the ruling is to PROTECT THE PROFITS OF THE TRILLION-DOLLAR GREED-DRIVEN OIL INDUSTRY, so in this sense I would say YES, I would defend an administration or any branch within that administration that is trying to do right by America and its citizens.

I agree that Obama did step in it and I was appalled by his remarks. But I don't think he broke any laws. Of course Obama sticks his foot in his mouth too often.

Why would the President be held in contempt of court. Do you know what the term "contempt of court" means. The President hasn't been in a court proceeding.

  • 1 decade ago

Yes. You misunderstand the entire concept of the US government and the judiciary system.

    Is this some anti-Obamacare rant?

This was a decision by one Southern judge - several other State judges made exactly the opposite ruling.

the President is not in "contempt" of anything, please stop making crap up.

Like officials who refuse to marry gays after it has been ruled on?
