Theists, What if you could make a machine that would change atheists minds to accept your way of thinking?
Would you use that machine?
I guess it's just an example of Internet Tough Guy syndrome, that I posed a question to the 'Theists' about their point of view on something, and most of the answers are from 'Atheists' who are just trying to insult the Theists.
Be better than that, people. I asked them an honest question, looking for their opinion, and most of you took it as an opportunity to crap all over someone else's beliefs. That was not my intent - no 'best answer' for anyone doing that.
"It sounds like you're upset with someone who did try to force his or her beliefs onto you." - I'm not "upset about anything". If you are reading an 'angry tone' into my words, then they come from you, the reader, and you should think about that.
Someone asked the same question to Atheists earlier, and I just wanted to get the Theists point of view. Don't assume I have some other motive, or that I'm posting out of anger or hate.

i'd like to apply it to those who're actively detrimental the international + hurting and/or brainwashing loads of human beings because of their theistic beliefs. human beings along with Fred Phelps, Becky Fischer, etc... yet with the exception of that? Nope. i'd disagree with theists, yet multiple them are very reliable human beings, and they would not should have their minds meddled with hostile to their will. Plus it will be volatile, because i really do no longer understand how nicely they could manage to regulate to easily without notice no longer having those beliefs anymore. per chance they could get truly depressed. :( i in my opinion spent various years going each and each and every of ways from theist to atheist, or perhaps interior of that factor body, it replaced into plenty puzzling sufficient.

Dear me, no - never! I desperately need a machine that will show me where I need to change MY way of thinking! As a believer in one God who, alone created everything, I need to stop thinking about myself and my own tiny little world so much and learn how to expand my thinking to incorporate something of the magnitude of the Creator's way of thinking! Anybody out there know how best to do that? Or is that just a resounding silence from the atheist camp that I detect?

Wait....wouldn't that mean that theists would first have to zap each other with this machine (seeing as theists can't even agree amongst themselves in their "way of thinking") to prevent other theists from zapping all their potential atheist converts?

I would not use such a machine. God granted us all free will; who am I to take that away from anyone? Besides, my sense of security isn't derived from how many people agree with me or not.
It sounds like you're upset with someone who did try to force his or her beliefs onto you.

Then won't a hypothetical god be angry, since only he can control the minds of humans?
Also, what happened to the whole "free well" thing the Christians talked about?

there already is such a machine. It's called life. Not to my way
of thinking, just to understanding the sacred nature of life.

That has been tried for centuries. No one or nothing can force a properly functioning mind to believe such a dysfunctional, unrealistic, senseless thing.

Yes, and in fact I believe the FSM is working on such a machine. It may work on Christians as well as other unbelievers.

No, I would not use that machine. I am not looking for robot minds to change. I want all people to willingly change their minds about Jesus. This is called Free Will.
