Have you noticed when people ask a question regarding an opinion, they give "Best Answer" to the person?

Sometimes, but many times I'll use that opportunity to respond to someone's differing opinion left in their answer.

Yes, I strongly believe that this is stupid. People should not give best answers to people who just simply echo the owner. Especially when they parrot the opinion of the question. I don't know why they bother asking the question then.

Because people like to voice their opinions in some way and take pleasure in finding people who are in agreement. Also people enjoy finding the opinions of others invalid. It provides a sense of superiority and an outlet for opinions. ... Nevermind hardly anyone on the internet is going to notice if you post a question on Yahoo! Answers. I try to keep my questions as objective as possible and also try to give the best answer to those who's opinions are more valid than mine.

I have noticed it and I expect it.

If my opinion were exactly the same as the asker's, there would be no need to ask. I always have excellent opinions, but they are often unpopular. The world would be a better place if people who did not like my answers took the time to think about them.

Sweet Jesus! I don't expect much in the way of appreciation of true quality from a represenative real sample of the general popualce never mind a selection of the least social amongst them who are protected form any consequence by anonymity (like we get on here).

I've seen insightful quality ignored and ridiculed and i've 'crapped in my hands and rubbed it on the keyboard' and been awarded 'best answer'

Quality or value is a secondary concern in comparison to the subjective agenda of the asker and those subjective agendas are often particualrly superficial.

No one should be trying to get best answer, that's pathetic. Just be truthful and be yourself, you will have more fun that way instead of being a suck up just for some digital percentage on yahoo answers. "Yeah I'm an important person on yahoo answers!!!" Nobody cares. . .

Yes, that is true but I think most people only ask questions to get their thoughts across...

I give BA to whomever because 99% of the time when I ask questions I don't mean any of it, LOL.

I believe they give "best answer" to the one they agree with. I know I would! Why would you give "best answer" to something that doesn't make sense?
