Vista comes as either 32bit version or 64bit version. You have one or the other.

You can check for yourself by this:

    Click the round start button

Right click on the word "computer"

    Select Properties

Under System type it should say: "32-bit operating system" OR "64bit operating system"

It has to be 32 bit Vista, it's the smallest version they make. and 32 bit Vista has nothing to do with resolution, those are video drivers you need. Find your video card and get the drivers for it.

Right click your desktop, click personalize and go to the Video Device area and find your video card.

    Source(s): Vista comes in 'flavors' 32 & 64 bit.
