Don't ask for logic when it comes to the government and to politicians in general. The act is redundant because there are numerous laws on the book covering the essential aspects. However, it is a major encroachment into the freedom of the individual citizen. Only zombies and other idiots (who act like lemmings) are always enthusiastic when the government takes over, since they have no mind of their own. We are following the outline George Orwell was predicting in his "1984" book.

They call it that because they know that if you had any idea about the constitution and what was at work you would be totally flabbergasted. That's why they call it the patriot act. To create 3 who will blindly follow due to the word "patriot" to every 1 who would revolt due to its content.

Edit: over 1 million americans have been placed on this terrorist watch list. All vulnerable to unwarranted searches and seizures at any time. This is supposedly what is necessary in order to keep americans safe from box cutter wielding terrorists. If you'll open your eyes you'll see the big picture. This is what makes America so difficult to live in. I wish I could have been one of the stupid ones so that I could march along to their little tune while remaining blissfully ignorant of all that is going on around me.

Edit: after reading page 405 of rockefeller's book "memoirs" and coalligning it with the movie zietgeist federal reserve and zeitgeist addendum, as well as jay rockfeller's participation in the bilderberg groups (violating the logan act), i do support the claims for a new world conspiracy stemming from this.

Actuallly, it is the "USA Patriot Act." USA Patriot is an acronym which stands for the bill's formal title, "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001."

It is a classic example of Orwellian doublespeak.

Because if you don't agree with it, you aren't a patriot lol ;)

They should pass one called the What Are You, Chicken? Act.

The word "patriot" seems intentionally misused to

emphasize that "If you're not for us, you're agaist us" type of threat to

    critical citizens.

It makes all critics and libertarians enemies to call that sort of law "patriotic".
