Problem: No light coming through ocular lens

    Solution:

    1. Make sure objective lens is "snapped" to position in-line.

    2. Make sure diaphragm / condenser is "open" to the position that puts light through the stage

    3. Make sure lamp is on, or mirror is adjusted to put light through the condenser

    4. Make sure your classmates haven't pranked you by taping foil or cardboard to the bottom of the ocular piece

Then either the lamp is not functioning (if you are using a lamp), or you have set it up incorrectly.

Really ! How on earth do you expect someone to answer such a question without seeing the set-up ?
