Why do people ask opinion questions on Yahoo!Answers?

Nothing else to do. They're tired of all the video games, etc. So go online ask some stoooopid question just to see what people will answer with. It's a game to them.

in the event that they're in vote casting, or have had a terrific answer chosen for them, they could't be deleted. no rely if it continues to be open, you may flow back on your question, and locate the edit tab below your question. bypass your mouse over that edit tab and a few recommendations will look. There are 4 recommendations. The third determination says "delete question". click this and the question would be deleted. you don't get your factors back once you delete the question. those are each and every of the recommendations, from precise to backside. - upload information - make better expiration - Delete question - end emailing me new solutions Like I suggested previously, you may no longer delete or do something with your question while that's in vote casting or has been resolved.

Many of those people are seeking validation to feel better about what they already think or feel or have decided on.

I answered a question the other day thinking that I was helping the asker. The asker rejected all answers that were similar to mine and only liked the ones that made her feel good. She also snapped my head off for my answer.

For a random poll or to just try and get the feeling on how the Yahoo! community feels I think. I know - lots of times I thought my answer was the best but the answer with 4 thumbs down got picked by the asker as the best. I'm thinking "WTH?" it recieved that many thumbs down for a reason... -_-'

The name of the site has been changed to 'Y!Affirmations' ... apparently you didn't get the memo.

Seems that way sometimes. People have their minds made up and only want to hear what they want to hear. Even when they are wrong.

Nothing any of us can do about it. Give good answers anyway. If the question goes to voting (and lots of them do), a good answer has a better chance of getting the Best Answer.

They would want to see who else has the same opinion. By doubling your forces, it seems like your opinion could be a fact when everyone else thinks so
