Vick gets the Key to the City.....?
...in Dallas, by the mayor pro tem? The actual mayor was quoted as stating, "The action taken was not sanctioned by my office and was not an official ceremonial honor on behalf of the City of Dallas."
Good that the left hand knows what the right hand is doing, huh?
Just wondering if anyone saw Vick's speech and what they thought of his sincerity and eloquence? Also wondering if anyone out there thinks that Dallas' Key is somewhat tarnished by this?

Why the hell would they give it to Vick in the first place? He doesn't play for Dallas, and he wasn't even in the Super Bowl. Just some ghetto council member celebrating their dog killing hero?

City council members are allowed to give out "unofficial" keys to the city to whomever they please. They don't even record who these things are given out too and no one has to ask or inform the mayor. Gene Simmons got a key to the city too just a couple of weeks ago and that didn't make the news. I honestly don't see why anyone really cares about making such a big deal over a token, meaningless, thing.

He got the key for talking to kids, I guess Dallas gives aways keys like nothing.

No more than the city of Detroit.. Sadam (yes the tyrant that "our officials" elected for Iraq) received a Motor City key in 1980...
