Where can you get materials to learn Klingon?

I (and my gf) want to learn Klingon, but it is rather difficult to find materials.

It shouldn't really matter how hard it is to learn, because I'm up to the challenge (I'm learning at present Latin, French, and Spanish). I just want to be able to speak it.

I recommend getting The Klingon Dictionary by Marc Okrand; that's the primary source on the language, and is available at many libraries.

After you've read that, you can also get Klingon for the Galactic Traveler, also by Okrand and a very enjoyable read.

The founder of the Klingon Language Institute has a great podcast for people who want to learn Klingon: http://www.lawrencemschoen.com/category/podcasts/p...

Each episode is about five minutes long, and he makes one every day.

I recommend signing up for it using iTunes (Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast -> http://www.lawrencemschoen.com/category/podcasts/f... -> OK) or some other RSS reader, so that you can easily keep track of which episodes you've listened to.

    Other great sites:

    www.klingonska.org

    http://hol.kag.org/

    http://teresh.tdonnelly.org/

www.kli.org (the site isn't updated very often, but their mailing list is excellent)

You can also ask for help at klingon.org/smboard (activity there goes in waves, but people are usually quite eager to help prospective jatlhwI'pu'), and talk to Klingonists on the #tlh channel on Twitter.

Don't know. But as a fellow Star Trek fan, I wish you the best of luck. I mean it's a fictional language. How the hell do you expect to find it?
