Starting out in Sales...How do I cold Call? I'm nervous!?

Hello, I am just starting out in sales and really unsure and need some tips on cold calling. I have always worked for a mobile company that specialise in B2B. I am tech support and normally I get a goal assist commission, anyway I got sick of everyone else making the main commission and me getting a measly £1 per connection. So I have decided to venture into the realms of sales myself for mobiles to businesses. Im so scared I'm going to be a failure but I know the product its just getting the info that I need to get in front of companies to make the deal.

Any tips from anyone about how to do this? How to get past the gate keepers?

With cold calling, you're going to get rejected sometimes, in fact a lot of the time. You're going to have to have a thick skin because a lot of people will be rude. But, be persistent, you will get your foot in the door with some people.

If someone is rude to you and gets your riled up, take a break. You may get an attitude with your next person after a bad call and that could be "the one".

chilly calling is a not elementary activity as you quite are a telemarketer and in lots of situations the individuals you call are actually not friendly. anticipate to get yelled at and hung up on yet do not take it in my opinion as you're a unknown, faceless voice. After some calls I anticipate you will recover from your rigidity.
