Start Up - Asked to select hard drive

rather than getting the apple logo, I get the MacIntosh HD image (with the words MacIntosh HD under it), with an arrow underneath pointing at it.

i got no boot camp or partition. Just macHD.

Ok once booted go to system preferences and then select startup disk and make sure that your main drive is highlighted blue over the text if not select it and reboot.

If its not that then check your mouse button isn't being pressed during boot or the option key isn't being pressed or the menu button on your remote. as these are 3 ways you can access that menu on boot.
