HELP Baby has stopped sleeping through the night what can I do?

My baby girl is 10 months old and has been sleeping through the night in her own room for the past two months. However, since sunday night she has been waking up and screaming around 2 or 3 am. We have been letting her cry it out but usualy this only last about 20 min (we go pat her every 5 to 10min). Sunday she screamed for 2 hours. After about 40 minutes we finally rocked her back to sleep but as soon as we laid her down she started screaming again. Desperate for sleep we put her in bed with us. I think she is teething as she has two little buds, but I don't want to ruin the excellent sleeping pattern she was in by having her sleep with us or get her out to rock her. BUT I also dont' want to be insesitive if she truly is in pain from teething.

How do I handle messed up sleep patterns during teething? AND How long does this usually last?

Any suggestions or helpful tips would be appreciated. THANK YOU

** We are giving her infant tylenol before bed and if she acts as if she needs it when she wakes up in the middle of the night.

Update:

She doesn't want a bottle we have tried that and she just pushes it away :-(. Yes this is her first tooth and I think she might actually be cutting 2 at once.

I know it is a bad idea to put her in bed with us but when we both work 40+ hours per week there isn't much choice- we have to sleep! That is why I am asking for other solutions.

Try teething gel along with the tylenol before bed and when she wakes up. That worked wonders for my daughter!

My 6 month old is already working on his 5th tooth... ORA-JEL! Lol... don't take her in the bedroom with you... if it comes down to it rock her in her room and put her back in her bed. Infant tylenol you can give every 4 to 6 hours. If it is within the 4-6 hour mark I say give it to her. Is this her first tooth? The first one always seems to last the longest bc it hurts so bad. After the first one the others seem to be a breeze! During the day try giving her frozen wash cloths and frozen teethers (the ones with the bubbles on the inside). Maybe that will help calm it down a little at night. My son started teething while we was at disney world for vacation. That was the worst vacation I have ever been on! Lol oh the have a ora-jel night time formula... I guess it is supposed to last longer? I dunno we used it and it works great! I hope I helped!

Have you tried nursing/offering a bottle? It's not unheard of for a baby to be going through a growth spurt and need an extra feed, even if she's been sleeping longer for a while. If you feed her, you can probably all go back to sleep rather than lying awake while she screams for 2 hours.

Teething hurts like a *****. But putting her in your bed is also setting you up for a long road to get her back in her bed. Get Baby Ore-gel(how ever you spell that!), She won't get full set of teeth for quite a while. This is going to be off and on for a while. There is also homeopathic teething melt in mouth tablets, and other stuff too. Do what works for you. In the old times they use to rub the gums with alcohol(the drinking kind, bourbon, whiskey, vodka, etc).
