If you were in the NFLPA, and only one of the union's demands would be granted, which would you want?
I know both sides of the CBA negotiations think they can get everything they want, but chances are each side will only get half of what they want. So if the players have three demands:
-16 games per season
-60% of NFL revenue
-Better healthcare
...then the players will get what they want on one of the issues, the owners will get what they want on another one, and the third one will be split in the middle.
So the question is: If you were a player, which demand do you want the most, which one are you willing to let the owners get their way with, and which one are you willing to meet the owners halfway on?

I'd go for the money. You can buy health insurance with money... and a lot of other things. A lot of people have to buy their own insurance. Small business owners, the self-employed, etc... It's not a huge deal, especially if you're a multi-millionaire.
And the 16 games vs. 18 games? They're still working the same amount essentially, since they're losing 2 pre-season games. And more games equals more revenue, and if they're getting a big share of the revenue then it's all good.

I would want better health care for the potential health problems I will have when I retire. If the league goes to an 18 game season, then the players are going to need it worse than they already do. The revenue sharing is all relative regardless of where they set that one. The elite players are still going to get paid the most money and the rest of the players are still going to be doing good to get league minimum.

In all honesty the money is not possible. The owners really do not care that much about the other two, revenue splitting is the key issue. So if I were a player I would take a 16 game season. I say that because with 18 games, you increase the chance of injury and fatigue which shortens your career which in turn shortens the amount of paychecks you get in your career.

If I was a player I'd think ahead and say healthcare. Most players are thinking in the now though and would probably say money

If I was a player, I would say F U to the guy who tells me I can get only one of the above when I really deserve all three.
