Tips/advice for bleaching hair to blonde?

So, I'm going to bleach my hair to a pale/ platinum blonde soon.

(My hair is currently dyed a medium brown color)

Any advice/tips?

Or any certain products you recommend?

Lmk, I want all the advice I can get before I actually bleach it.

:]

Update:

- I'm doing it myself. I can't afford going to the salon. and I'm also a cosmetology student so I'm pretty sure I CAN do it myself.

- DONT RECOMMEND BOX DYES PLEASE.Unless you know it works EXTREMELY good.

- I know bleaching damages my hair but blonde in my natural color and I'm sick of dying my roots so Its kind of necessary.

ok well if you want to do it at the salon then you have to do a process like keep highlighting your hair till its blonde cuz if you go straight to blonde it can damage your hair...Now if your looking at doing it yourself then u should get L'Oreal they have really good hair dye and i would recomend using that...hope this helps and good luck with dying your hair hope you like it :)

ok properly I bleach my hair and that i had already had blonde hair in spite of the fact that it grew to become comeply orange and it hasnt grown in view that like a million or 2 years in the past and in case you ever positioned yet another shade in it is all frizzy so i might do it i might use a hair fixer equipment or a stripper and it would paintings super after which you may in simple terms positioned a purple in that wouldbe your terrific wager :b

My advice would be to not do it at all, because the bleach will damage your hair......But if you must, and if you're set on doing it yourself, the Clairol hair bleach/dye kit (in the pink box) does a good job. Good luck.
