Can you computerize/electronic fuel injection a 1989 Chevy Pickup with a 454 TBI engine?
Can I upgrade to a new 454 HO crate engine with electronic fuel injection? Can you retrofit an OEM computer to run the electronic fuel injection? Does anyone know the cost of the computer, etc.? I know the 454 HO engine cost about $6,500.

SAGE ADVICE FROM SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN THERE,
When you order the engine, make sure you tell the supplier exactly what the application is, and that you want it set up to run in that truck. They may even have to send an upgraded ECM to make it
run correctly.
That can spell the difference between a 2 day swap and a month scratching your butt trying to figure out why it won't run, Make it easier on yourself. You'll thank me for this later,
