What happened to the 40+ men who made an oath in Acts Ch. 23?

In chapter 23 of the Book of Acts - it is recorded that over 40 Jewish men took a sacred oath to take no food until they had killed Paul.

Paul lived on several years after this - so is there a record anywhere what happened to those men?

Good point. We don't know since it is not recorded in the Bible.

It is probably not important. I think Luke who wrote Acts is making the point about how extremely serious they were to kill Paul, but God had a purpose for Paul's life so God made sure a young boy heard the plots and reported it, so God got Paul off in order that he could live to fulfil his purpose in God's plans

Either they broke their oath or they died.

Does it matter since it shows the extent of their malice and wickedness and what they therefore deserve?
