Does the ark opening scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark still scare you?
Raiders of the Lost Ark is my all time favourite film, yet I still stand by that it has one of the darkest climaxes to any film. When I saw the film for the first time, the ark opening scene scared the living crap out of me, In fact, it scared me so much that for a time, I refused to watch the scene every time I watched the movie. When I finally got the courage to watch it again, it wasn't as scary as I remember it, maybe because looking back the effects are so cheesy compared (obviously) to today's special effects.
So in short, does this scene still give you the chills or do you not have a problem with it at all?

No, I think it's more dramatic than scary because it's the introduction of Indiana Jones

Nope. Never did, never will. What scared me was "The Nothing" from Never Ending Story.
