I know this probably sounds sick but I'm just relieved I didn't have to officiate at the funeral I did one last year it was so miserable for every one

Maybe you're just in shock. One time, an ice skater ripped my fingernail off, and I didn't cry at all for about half an hour because of the shock. It might be the same with you and your friend's death; it could come up behind you and hit you, maybe when you're at a place where you went together, or see one of her relatives, etc.

a few years ago my best friend from the army killed himself. i too felt nothing. the reason i was given, was that we were friends yes, but we were not close enough to have the emotional attachment to each other. for example my best friend mike and i have been friends for more than 22 years, we are like brothers and we have that unique bond/ emotional attachment to/ for each other as if we were related by blood.
i hope this helps you understand why you felt nothing, or why you didn't feel more.

It might not have hit you yet? Or maybe your just mature about death and can accept it for what it is and move on?
