Nirvana - All Apologies (MTV Unplugged)
I wanted to say that after my tribulations of last year that I understand his battle with addiction in a fashion that I pray none of you ever wil. When I completed the Detox portion of my treatment, I had a thought that I was able to do what Curt could not : face my demons and see myself through to the other side.
There were two syringes found at the scene of Curt's suicide and I understand after meeting someone who knew him that Kurt's addiction was so heinous that two full "issues" were not enough to relieve his pain. Please remember this fact anytime anyone attempts to glamorize or romanticize Heroin use. Kicking Heroin was the hardest thing I ever did and the most rewarding, because I have finally chosen to LIVE.

Nirvana - Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam
I was an early fan of Nirvana's and had the opportunity to see them live a few times, the last time being at the LA Forum just before his suicide. I was backstage at the show and to see Kurt surrounded by hangers on and sycophants was unsettling and sad..

Nice tribute, Punch, and a word of caution from someone who's 'been there' is always good, imo.
I'm gonna go with the first Nirvana song on the first Nirvana album that I owned as my favorite. I remember well getting the cassette for Christmas ~ I'd asked for it ~ and plugging it into my car deck that first day. It was an immediate love affair on my end, and is still a joy to listen to. And honestly, every song on that album could work here as a favorite ~ a seminal work.
