Question about Christianity, for theologists and clergy only.?

The question:

I know this seems self contradictory, but are there any denominations of christanity that dont hold jesus as a messiah, or perhaps which relate jesus or the word messiah with a metaphor?

The reason:

I have a strong desire to study theology, and eventually to be ordained. I feel very called to preach the word of god, and yet, i am not a christian. The truth is im a panthiest, and i dont believe in savoirs, prophets, scriptures, miracles, or hell. Is there no religion out there that will have me?

Most Christian denominations these days don't really require ministers, still less divinity students, to believe in the historicity of bible characters or stories, nor do they require them to hold as true the traditional theological formulae regarding salvation, the person of Jesus, and so on.

Most congregations, on the other hand, continue naively to expect traditional Christian belief in their ministers.

Whether or not the mismatch is a problem to you is down to your own conception of integrity, I guess.

The true question is not if some religion will have you. What you need to know, if you study the Holy Bible and let God be your teacher, you will find all the things you listed in the Bible and are approved reading by God. There is absolutely no reason for a person to preach the bible unless first he know the author of that bible. Sure of the 66 books of the two volumes of the Holy Bible, God had to inspire about 40 to write it. The parts you wish to eliminate are part of most of the 66 books, or are referenced in so many of them you might as well start with a blank piece of paper for God will not be there either. So what do you preach? Your theology is of whom, and you will be ordained by what?

Best for you to start over and reconsider---find the truth which is Jesus, he is the life and the way and no man will find God the Father but through him(Jesus). One last thought. I does not matter that you personally do not believe the things you stated, that does not make them not so.

If you want to preach the word of God...you would first have to know it. You can only know God's word through the Holy Spirit. To have the Holy Spirit, you must be born again.

Christians are Christ followers, hence the name. Lots of religions and theories shoot off in different directions for their own glory. Unless the bible is wrong, Jesus is Lord and there's not another way to go unless you deliberately go against Him. He is the Savior, He is God and He did come to save the world; all those who believe in Him.

I am no theologian or clergy person but this is one of the weirdest things I've ever heard (this isn't meant to insult you). Have you ever thought about converting?

    God alone is our savior.

Jesus is not God. Nor is Jesus the Messiah.

The messiah will be named Emmanuel and have two human parents.

God is the only religion you need.
