Cam I take a rental from America into canada for vacation?

We REALLY dont want to take two cars for our vacation and as its only five hours away flying seems silly... not to mention we would still need to rent if we flew- so is it legal to take a rented van into canada?

Of course you can....as long as the rental company allows you to take their vehicle out of country and you arrive at the border with all the proper and necessary documents including but not limited to valid drivers license, insurance, rental agreements, passports and the like.

Ask the rental agent. The contacts vary. Most of the time, you cannot legally do this. If you can legally drive in Canada, though, you may be able to rent one there.
