Did Woody belong to Andys father in the toy story movies?

Since Woody was a character in a 50's tv show, does it seem conceivable that Woody actually belonged to Andy's dad and after his fathers Death, he became Andy's? Why else would he have a toy from the 50's?

Yes. I wonder this too and that's weird Woody never remember or talks about the truth that he was from Andy's father's toy. That's why he never knew about when he found out that he was a star from on old TV show called "Woody's Roundup" that he never saw this before.

I have often wondered why Woody had no memory of his first owner.

They never mention that once. Ever. It was a toy he just always had.....
