What are the reasons that Jesus could not be God?

1. Because HE loves the Father, which is God.

2. Why callest Me good, there is only one good, and that is the Father.

3. When He raised Lazereth from the dead, He told everyone that He couldn't do that on His own, that it was His father.

.4. He told Phillip how to know when God was in people.

Jesus was absolutely God like 100%, because He loved and worshipped His father. He prayed to his Father. Who in the world would want a better father than Jesus had? I think anybody that doesn't believe the record that God gave His Son, They probably don't know it, but they dishonor the Father.

"Because HE loves the Father, which is God." The Father also loves The Son.

"Why callest Me good, there is only one good, and that is the Father. " To bad the verse doesn't say that. Neither does Jesus claim he is not good.

"When He raised Lazereth from the dead, He told everyone that He couldn't do that on His own, that it was His father." No he didn't lol.

"because He loved and worshipped His father." The Father also loves The Son, and called the Son God (Hebrews 1:8-10).

"He prayed to his Father." Yes, because Jesus has a Eternal relationship with the Father.

"but they dishonor the Father" How do you honor the Father? By honoring the Son (John 5:23). What do we do to honor the Heavenly Father? Worshiping and serving him. And we are to do the same to Jesus just as John 5:23 said. That's a direct statement of saying to worship Jesus just as we worship the Father.

@Homer Impsoon- I like how this argument has not only been refuted, but Muslims still use it. You guys don't even understand The Bible, so don't interpret it. The word Begotten has different meaning in Greek. Also Luke 1:35 and Hebrews 1:3 explain why Jesus is called the Son of God i.e His conception through the Holy Ghost, and his divine nature.

@Ash Kad- "God cannot be born" How many times has this been answered? God became a man, his spirit wasn't born. "There is unequivocal textual evidence." Yeah that's a great claim, but evidence please. "No one has seen God." Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Moses, Joshua, etc seen God (Genesis 18, Exodus 33:11, 22-23, Numbers 12:6-8, etc). John 1:18 is saying only the Father has not been seen. God is seen through the Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:9-11, Hebrews 1:3). "This wasn't the belief of early christians." Oh really? Justin Martyr ( 140 A.D.) "the word of wisdom, who is himself God begotten of the Father of all things, and word, and wisdom, and power, and the glory of the begetter, will bear evidence to me".(Dialogue with Tropho Ch.61). "For Christ is King, and Priest, and God and Lord..."(Dialogue With Trypho, 34). Polycarp (70-160). Bishop of Smyrna.A disciple of John the Apostle. "O Lord God almighty...I bless you and glorify you through the eternal and heavenly high priest Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, through whom be glory to you, with Him and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever". "Jesus ate slept and prayed" And? God became a man. "Jesus claimed that God's knowledge was far greater than his. " The verse where Jesus says he didn't know when the Last Day was, mean't something different in Greek. It only mean't the Father would command when Jesus would return. "Jesus explicitly states that he is not God" he says he is the same "I AM" from the Old Testament (John 8:58, compare with Exodus 3:14.). "The 'Son of God' was not exclusive to Jesus." Thats right, but it was a Title describing his Divinity (Hebrews 1:3), and Conception through the power of the Holy Ghost (Luke 1:35). "God doesn't change." Amen, Malachi 3:6 says God never changes, just as Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus never changes. "God is the object of worship", and Jesus is worshiped (Hebrews 1:6, Matthew 9:18, John 20:28, etc).

    because God is not child/son

    1.Of God

    2. Another God

    3.Himself.

We can rule this three out for sure. In the whole scriptures God never mentioned that he is the son of God .

All the three is what is God cannot be. The infinite can't be finite. However the God knowledges is encompasses all things and mystery.

To be created, He would first have to not exist, and, if He did not exist, how could He then create?

Whoever dishonour prophet Moses and Abraham dishonour God too. The word "honour" doesn't mean something that require worship or divinity whatsoever.

Was Jesus telling the truth when He explicitly said that He was “a man” (John 8:40)?

Mark 14:58-70 (New International Version, ©2010)

58 “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three days will build another, not made with hands.’” 59 Yet even then their testimony did not agree.

60 Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.

Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”

62 “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

63 The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. 64 “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

They all condemned him as worthy of death. 65 Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, “Prophesy!” And the guards took him and beat him.

    G-d is One

One of the primary expressions of Jewish faith, recited twice daily in prayer, is the Shema, which begins "Hear, Israel: The L-rd is our G-d, The L-rd is one." This simple statement encompasses several different ideas:

There is only one G-d. No other being participated in the work of creation.

G-d is a unity. He is a single, whole, complete indivisible entity. He cannot be divided into parts or described by attributes. Any attempt to ascribe attributes to G-d is merely man's imperfect attempt to understand the infinite.

G-d is the only being to whom we should offer praise. The Shema can also be translated as "The L-rd is our G-d, The L-rd alone," meaning that no other is our G-d, and we should not pray to any other.

    G-d is Incorporeal

Although many places in scripture and Talmud speak of various parts of G-d's body (the Hand of G-d, G-d's wings, etc.) or speak of G-d in anthropomorphic terms (G-d walking in the garden of Eden, G-d laying tefillin, etc.), Judaism firmly maintains that G-d has no body. Any reference to G-d's body is simply a figure of speech, a means of making G-d's actions more comprehensible to beings living in a material world. Much of Rambam's Guide for the Perplexed is devoted to explaining each of these anthropomorphic references and proving that they should be understood figuratively.

We are forbidden to represent G-d in a physical form. That is considered idolatry. The sin of the Golden Calf incident was not that the people chose another deity, but that they tried to represent G-d in a physical form.

G-d is Neither Male nor Female

This followed directly from the fact that G-d has no physical form. As one rabbi explained it to me, G-d has no body, no genitalia, therefore the very idea that G-d is male or female is patently absurd. We refer to G-d using masculine terms simply for convenience's sake, because Hebrew has no neutral gender; G-d is no more male than a table is.

Although we usually speak of G-d in masculine terms, there are times when we refer to G-d using feminine terms. The Shechinah, the manifestation of G-d's presence that fills the universe, is conceived of in feminine terms, and the word Shechinah is a feminine word.

Jesus is begotten of the Father. No human other than Jesus is begotten. We are not equal to Jesus. He was born sinless and remained sinless. The Bible says none is Good, but God alone and we all fall short of the glory of God. This should give us some clue into the identity of Jesus Christ which is revealed through the Scriptures.

Terms don't matter, but any REAL Christian has to at least confess Jesus is LORD. That means He is God. Here's strong proof that Jesus is God.

And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will SEND them a SAVIOR and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them - Isaiah 19:20.

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. - 2 Corinthians 5:19

Now connect that to this next one.

"I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no SAVIOR. I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witness," says the Lord, "that I am God." - Isaiah 43:11,12.

In the 1st Scripture it says He will send them a SAVIOR who will deliver them. In the 2nd passage of Scripture, from the same book, Isaiah, the Lord says that He is the SAVIOR and that He is God. He's the same person. He will send them a SAVIOR, and the SAVIOR is God. Plain and simple. Jesus Christ is Lord, and Jesus Christ is SAVIOR, and Jesus Christ is God. Proven here with the above OT Scripture.

Jesus said, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me." - John 10:25.

Jesus answered them, "I and My Father are one." - John 10:30

Jesus said, "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him." - John 10:37,38.

Jesus said, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9).

Jesus answered them, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." - John 8:36. He was talking about sin and being free from being a slave of sin.

"But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever... Therefore God, Your God, has annointed You." (Hebrews 1:8,9) This is also in the OT from Psalm 45:6,7.

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either... - 1 John 2:22,23.

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life - 1 John 5:12.

    May God bless you.

    8. in simple terms the human nature of Jesus had a commencing up. yet Jesus is the 2d person of the Trinity who continuously existed. 7. perhaps, yet Jesus is maximum wisely the "Son of God". His Divine Nature is desperate via that of His Father making Jesus coequal to His Father in Almighty. Jesus is God because of the fact the 2d person of the Trinity. God in simple terms is provided in persons. 6. We in simple terms "see" the human nature of Jesus. as a result Jesus is the seen image of an invisible God. 5. We use scripture to instruct that Jesus is God; to not objectively instruct the Trinity. It replaced into not the area of Jesus to instruct the Trinity (place of salvation to coach us and qualify us for it - we necessary to be saved first). Jesus despatched the Holy Spirit (place) to instruct us approximately it. 4. Jesus is the two God and guy. His human nature does not be genuine till Jesus prayed to God because of the fact it is venture to God. it is had to be certain that Jesus to additionally be one hundred% human. yet Jesus is likewise one hundred% Divine. 3. The one hundred% human nature of Jesus does not very own infinite expertise. even although, Jesus, as additionally a human son, maximum wisely stated that His Father, AS ONE GOD, knows each and everything. yet because we now understand that "ONE GOD" is Trinity, then all 3 persons, it is composed of God the Son as Jesus & the Spirit, knows each and everything such because of the fact the day and hour. 2. John 17:3 purely confirms that ONE genuine God despatched Jesus into the worldwide. The Trinity is such that each and absolutely everyone mutually conform to convey roles. The place of God the Son (Jesus) is salvation. a million. You curiously quoted the incorrect verse for Matthew 15:18 right here. it is verse 9. even although, this refers to those that are worshiping God Himself in ineffective via failing to obey the commandments. Jesus isn't speaking approximately Himself right here. yet look at Matthew 15:25 the place Jesus is unquestionably being worshiped right here. And that may not the 1st similiar incident in the Bible the two. Jesus does not solicit worship as though he's changing His Father. Jesus is God in simple terms coequally with 2 different persons. Jesus is God as a Son.

    None.

Some have a basic misunderstanding of the nature of God and they do not have the ability to conceive of the Trinity. No sacrifice of man would have been enough. Only God as man could meet the obligation.

Stop paraphrasing the Bible you wacko JW.

In the Bible, God has sons by the tons.

It is mentioned in the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 3 verse 38

"…Adam, which was the son of God."

    a. Genesis, Chapter 6 verse 2

"That the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were fair…."

    b. Exodus, Chapter 4 verse 22

"…Israel is my son, even my firstborn".

    c. Jeremiah, Chapter 31 verse 9

"…For I (God) am a Father to Israel, and E’-phra-im is my firstborn."

    d. Psalms, Chapter 2 verse 7

"…the LORD hath said unto me, ‘Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee.’"

    e. Romans, Chapter 8 verse 14

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

According to the Bible every righteous person who follows the Commandments of God is referred to as son of God.

JESUS (PBUH) IS THE BEGOTTEN SON

The Christians agree with the reasoning but say that "but Jesus was not like that". Adam was made by God, every living thing was made by God, but Jesus (pbuh) was the begotten son of God, begotten not made". And the Christians quote from the Gospel of John, Chapter 3 verse 16.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

    MEANING OF THE WORD ‘BEGOTTEN’

When asked the meaning of the word ‘begotten’ the Christian will rarely be able to explain. Begotten means to beget i.e. to procreate. Begetting is an animal act belonging to the animal function of sex. How can we attribute such a lowly function to God.

THE WORD ‘BEGOTTEN’ IS AN INTERPOLATION

The word ‘begotten’ mentioned in the Gospel of John, Chapter 3 verse 16 has been thrown out from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible as an interpolation, as a fabrication. The Revised Standard Version has been revised by 32 Christian Scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 different co-operating denominations. These Scholars have removed this blasphemous word without any ceremony as an interpolation, concoction, fabrication, and adulteration.

THE QUR’AN SAYS THAT ALLAH DOES NOT BEGET

    a. The Qur’an mentions in Surah Maryam, Chapter 19 verse 88 to 92

"They say: ‘(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!’

Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

As if the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin.

That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious.

For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.’"

    [Al-Qur’an 19:88-92]

The Qur’an furthers says in Surah Ikhlas, Chapter 112 verse 1-3

    "Say: ‘He is Allah, the One and Only;

    Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

He begetteth not, nor is He begotten’"

    [Al-Qur’an 112:1-3]
