You have to pay for AT&T internet of course. But some places, like libraries, have free Wifi which you can use to get online. Although its kind of hard to find a strong free connection to use. So if you have your internet services, connect your modem to a wireless router that will send a wireless internet signal that your DSi can pick up and use to connect to the internet.

Source(s): I use MNSI for my internet and I hooked their modeom up to a belkin wireless router to connect my DSi to the internet as I can't find any good/strong free local wifi.
