The Queen West and Kensington area is full of fabric warehouses and you can find some great deals depending on the time of year, what the stores has in stock, etc. The GTA has literally hundreds of places to buy fabrics just in the downtown area and to list all the ones I have been to personally would take hours! I can point you in the right direction: start at everyone's beloved Orange Bag Store: Designer Fabrics at 1360 Queen West. They have a gazillion fabrics available. In the 400 area of Queen west there's Leo's, Euro Fab, Affordable, Queen 444... Go to Richmond and there's King, Utex, World Sewing, the place with all the expensive wools, where I bought the most expensive fabric I have ever bought, a wool, silk mink cashmere blend. On Dundas there's G&S dyes...MacFab is in that area too. In a small easily walked area right downtown there are lots and lots of fabric stores, again, almost too many to list. I visit these at least once a month. A search of google maps will bring up a map showing all these places in the Queen West area.
