Why do we allow companies to decrease pay while showing BIG PROFITS?
We all keep hearing all the time how bad the economy is yet companies are still showing PROFITS and rich people are still driving very nice new cars and living well. They ask all the average people to take pay cuts or not to expect raises yet CEO of all these companies are doing better than ever with big bonuses?
Why are we letting this happen?

I fully understand what you are saying. Them people higher up than us make better money , that is why they stay in them places. The bonus is based on pay and how long they been with the company.
I don't feel the company should even ask to cut wages. They should be giving a raise, even if it's not we expected. If no union, it don't matter. If you have strong will co-workers call for a company/co-worker meeting.
The rich people became rich before they even started there. Then they slip into a good job with big bucks. It makes me sick just like you and other people.
Maybe you should find a different job where people would love to have you as an employee. Good Luck

Because "WE" do not, and should not, have the authority to tell successful companies what they must do with the profits they make from their legitimate business proceedings.

very few people are ever asked to take pay cuts
lots more people just get laid off rather than pay cuts
how do YOU plan to stop it?

because it makes shareholders happy.. the only thing C-level executives care about is getting their bonus because the board and shareholders are happy.
