Scrapbooking old photos?
I'm interested in making a scrapbook page with a photo of my husband and one of me as children. These are old photos from the late 70's/early 80's--colors back then in photos were horrendous! Just wondering if anyone has any ideas/could point me to some layouts that use older photos like this.

The link for possible layouts for "older" photos was great, but just wanted to mention that you could also *alter* the images before using them if you want (after scanning the photos into your computer).
You could use a photoeditor in your computer or use one you find online**, then simply "correct" the colors to something more pleasing, or contemporary.
Or you could turn the photos into b&w or sepia photos, or even turn them into line drawings or just all kinds of funky/dreamy/whatever looks.**

There are lots of scrapbook papers made with the faded orangey-yellowy colours that will go with your photos. Look for sepia tones, or if your photos are more blue, go with that colour.
I would take some of the photos with you to a scrapbook paper shop and hold them against various designer papers till you find a colour that pleases you.Buy some plain cardstock in a colour that also suits and look for some flowers or other embellishments that tone in.
You can trim some of these photos if you want to as long as they are not from a polaroid camera.
Think about the things in the photos and make embellishments to suit the backgrounds.
Think especially about the stories you want to tell and maybe make journaling spots with off white cardstock (pure white will probably look too stark against these photos).
I hope these ideas give you somewhere to start :)
Here is an image search I did for 'layouts + old photos' that you might also like (some images on the page are not layouts but some are, so they may give you some ideas):
