How different would America be if Barry Obama was never elected?

McCain would have taken over for Bush and finished us off. We'd be a 3rd world country now.

My step dad says that it would probably be the same no matter who's in power (even though the president is just a figure head and not actually "in charge"). Personally I think it would have been worse if McCain would have won, he is a far right with intentions with the military and I think the war would be getting worse (even though we are still at war now).

DADT would still be going on and McCain would never approve of gay rights wheres Obama is opening up to gay rights more and more, this last week he has mentioned that there should be no law stopping gay marriage/unions. I just wish Obama would just say screw the GOP and do what needs to be done for the country. Universal health care, no more budget cuts, stop putting all the money to the military and give it to where it needs to be which is the american people.

We need to serve our own citizens with better human rights and stop worrying about the wars, military, and give more attention to our own backyard here. We need better schools and better education for kids K-12, need cheaper college tuition's, better welfare, more employment, and free medical. These are basic human needs and for a western country we should have these things already.

Well, McCain would have died of the stress by now, and then President Sarah would have redecorated the White House and it would be no longer the White House but the Louis Vuitton house, then she would have been presented with some work to do, and quit, to go on Dancing with the Stars and have somebody write another book with her name on it. And Boener would be president, and sitting in the Oval Office crying over how wonderful it was to be there.

Oh and by the way, are you at the library? I'm not. My work ends at noon on Friday, although my spouse works full time.

We'd probably be involved in military operations on the ground in Iran, Egypt and Libya for starters. Possibly North Korea as well.

The ability of citizens to unionize and petition their grievances would likely be legally crushed under the heel of an authoritarian government desperate to control everything.

The list could go on. Basically, we'd be much worse off.

To answer your question America wouldn't have increased it's debt as much as Obama has.

We wouldn't have the burden of Obamacare breathing down our necks.

Wars would continue, heat to American people would be increasing, banks would be broken the military US would continue killing people in all the world, no healthcare project, Euro would be strong.

We would be in a booming economy. All resources would be available for exploration and use. Energy prices would be reasonable. America would be again respected in the world.
